Vintage millefiori-style art glass cufflinks, a classic design style popularized by Venetian glassmakers on the island of Murano, Italy. (we do not know what origin this set is, no stamps or hallmarks)
The term millefiori translates from Italian to "a thousand flowers," which refers to the distinct glassmaking technique used here. Intricate glass canes are bundled together to create specific floral or star-like patterns (visible in the inner white stars and outer burgundy petals). 20mm in diameter. Slices of these patterned canes are then embedded into a rich cobalt blue glass dome before being mounted onto polished gold-tone bullet-back toggle closures.
Comes with matching pendant. 17mm in diameter.
20mm in diameter. Coin pictured for size reference only.
