Vintage powder compact from the mid-20th century, specifically the 1950s. This particular style, characterized by its "Space Age" aesthetic with raised bubble-like dots or circular depressions.
A gold-tone metal rectangular case featuring a grid of nine circular depressions or raised "bubbles" on the lid.
Interior: It contains a mirror on the inside of the lid and a compartment for loose or pressed powder, including an original powder puff and sifter. Bottom compartment is empty and can be used for small jewelry, pills ao anything that fits. Attached on one side is an empty lipstick tube. It also can be used for pills or jewelry.
Handle is a delicate metal chain strap, allowing it to be carried like a small clutch or "petite" handbag.
Measurements approx: 3.5" x 2 3/8"(including lock) x 5/16" thick. Chain is 6" long.
