This is a vintage 1950s Elgin Self-winding Shockmaster men's automatic wristwatch with a gold-filled case and a brown leather strap.
The watch features a mechanical automatic movement, likely an Elgin caliber 643, that is shock-resistant.
It has an off-white or champagne dial with gold-colored Arabic numerals at the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 o'clock positions and dauphine-style hands.
