Vintage Mexican sterling silver Byzantine link necklace and bracelet matching set.
Material Composition: The ".925" hallmark guarantees that the pieces are crafted from sterling silver (92.5% pure silver mixed with 7.5% alloy for durability).Origin: The "Mexico" stamp indicates it was handcrafted by Mexican artisans. Fine-quality vintage silver production like this is historically centered in the world-renowned silver capital of Taxco, Mexico.
Weave Style: The pattern is a Byzantine link (sometimes referred to as an interlocking scroll, birdcage, or king's braid weave). It features tightly grouped, interconnected oval links that alternate direction to produce an intricate, slightly rounded geometric texture.
It uses a sturdy, high-quality integrated box clasp with a safety latch designed to secure the heavy chain structure safely on the neck and wrist.
Necklace is 18" long, 6mm wide. Bracelet 7.5" long, 6mm wide. Both items stamped 925 mexico.
