Vintage, highly collectible, Crown Trifari crescent moon brooch, meticulously designed by Trifari's legendary head designer, Alfred Philippe, during the mid-1940s (circa 1945–1946).
The setting is crafted from sterling silver finished with a gold vermeil wash, a hallmark combination for high-end costume jewelry produced during the World War II era due to base metal restrictions.
It features a row of luminous, milky-white glass moonstone cabochons paired beautifully with vibrant faux ruby accents and clear, pave-set rhinestones tracking along the inner and outer borders.
This design is strongly tied to Philippe's highly celebrated "Clair de Lune" motif series, which prominently featured stylized imitation moonstones paired with colored rhinestones. It remains a prized and rare find for serious vintage costume jewelry collectors.
