Vintage Mexican "Alpaca" silver cuff bracelet featuring geometric inlays of iridescent abalone shell and a central streak of green enamel or composite stone.
Material Composition: What is Alpaca Silver? Despite the common trade name "Alpaca Silver," pieces marked with this stamp contain zero actual silver.
The Alloy: It is a durable metal alloy primarily composed of roughly 60% copper, 20% nickel, and 20% zinc. It is also known internationally as German Silver or Nickel Silver.
Characteristics: It has a highly reflective, bright silver-tone finish that resists heavy tarnishing and maintains its shape well because it is much harder than genuine sterling silver.
Because it relies heavily on nickel, people with severe nickel allergies should avoid wearing it directly against the skin to prevent irritation
