Lot of 6 antique Flow Blue butter pats or small butter dishes/plates, which are a popular collectible item.
Flow Blue pottery was produced primarily in Victorian England, Germany, Holland, and the United States, with peak production from the mid-1800s to the early 1940s.
The "flowing" or smeared cobalt blue look was a deliberate technique achieved by adding a chemical agent, such as lime or ammonia, to the kiln during firing.
The set includes multiple patterns, such as the "Verona" and "Waldorf" patterns by makers like Ridgways, Wood & Son, and New Wharf Pottery. 6pc sold together.
These items are now sought after by collectors rather than used as everyday dinnerware.
Measures approx. 3.25" in diameter.
